Okay, so, I've found three outfits. Three. That is nowhere near enough. I mean, seriously. What do your closets look like?

[It's tragic, really. He can just imagine those bare racks and cheap fabric and just... It's awful.

Besides, if he doesn't have Kaoru... or any of the guys... It's best if he keeps busy, right? Right. He doesn't need any friends here. He doesn't make friends. ...Not without Kaoru to lead the way, at least.]

So. I need fabric, thread, and a good sewing machine. If I can't find good clothes, I'll make my own.

[He already has the designs. A few days have been enough to sketch a few ideas up, especially since he just had to recreate things he'd already drawn.]

Where can I find that stuff?

Oh-- [his voice gets a little less brash] anyone seen someone named Kaoru Hitachiin? He's gotta be here, and... I really need to find him, okay?

[This is her first reply on the journal since coming back from her mission, and it seems like a very natural reply to make.]

The main clothing shop is hit or miss, but at All Passions we at least get quality material to make things.

Yeah, in the back room. You'd have to talk to Rhyme, she inherited it. [But it is still there... Shiki's personal one at home might not have remained. Her own personal mini one were there, though]

I think three outfits is pretty good actually. I mean that's plenty of clothes to live with. Having more is nice, but it's not essential.

Three outfits is fine for, like, three days. Maybe six if you did a horrible job packing.

Anything over a week? I need more. [...] Oh. Where are the laundry facilities?

Three outfits each back home would keep everyone going for... for way longer than a week. I mean, the Runners get more laundry done but generally...

Uh, there should be stuff in the apartments I think? I know our house has one.

Well... when I was last here Shiki was running the clothing store All Passions... but... I haven't heard from her since my return here, so I have to assume she no longer does.

Someone mentioned there was fabric there. [And where there's fabric, Hikaru figures, there's thread.] So that's half the problem solved.

There's gotta be a sewing machine around here. I mean, yeah, hand-stitching works, but to make a whole outfit? That'd just get painful.

I suppose that's why tailors get paid so much... though I don't think I've ever seen a sewing machine before.

Why not? I know how to do it, and I don't most of the crap that's in the store. Mass produced cheap things aren't really my style.

Mm. I don't know. You'd be surprised what you can find when you look hard enough, even at 'mass produced' stuff.

People have already pointed you to that other store. [All Passions. He wouldn't know. He hasn't actually stepped in there.] If you can't find everything you need, you might luck out and find something at the Item Shop. Though if you're as fussy about your clothes, who knows if that'll suit your tastes.

All I really need now is a sewing machine. I mean, I can hand-stitch, and some of it has to be, but it'd be awesome to have a machine.

Found some pretty okay fabric, and a few spools of actually good thread. Plenty of decent thread.

I think I saw one once. Not sure if it's still there. There's like six rooms in that shop - you have to dig around.

I guess they're okay by commoner standards, but they're really not good. The number of people I've met defending them is just...

Dude, I'm just happy to have stuff that my brother hasn't patched up six times. It's not like we really had that much money for fashion back home.
