People come every month, right? That's what I'm getting from this place.

[Hikaru's been very, very quiet lately. Holed up alone in his apartment, working on designs and sewing new clothes with his lovely friend -- a sewing machine.

But it's nearly that time again, so... he's gotten a little restless.]

Could everyone keep an eye out for Hitachiin Kaoru for me? I know he's coming. ["He wouldn't make me spend Christmas alone."] I'm just worried, you know? That he'll end up somewhere remote. So, just keep a lookout, okay?

Anyway.

Someone told me that you guys have a pretty major Christmas party here, so I'm totally taking commissions for clothes.

No set price. Tell me what you want, and we can negotiate what I want in return.

They are when you're close. I know a few people who wouldn't mind being away from their brothers, but Kaoru and I are always together.

Are you the sort of brothers who almost always get along, then?

We've only fought once. And that was because we were bored; it was just a game. We had it all scripted, so it wasn't even a real fight.

[Mostly.]

Only ever fought once...? As a mother, I'm impressed.

So you scripted a fight for fun? Who was the scripted fight for?

A friend of us wouldn't invite us over. So, we fought. And we got told we could come over if we made up.

So -- everything went according to plan.

...You must have known your friend pretty well if you knew that'd be the outcome.

I don't know if I'd say that, but I suppose I can't really comment on it.

I hate the waiting. The people in charge were too stupid to bring us both together.

...Well, I'm sure your brother will come soon enough.

[ And if they're as close as he says, then the boy won't mind being here to be with him, right? So she shouldn't feel bad about wishing someone somewhere they'll be stuck. ]

Until that point, if you'd ever like company for meals or such, my husband and I wouldn't mind having you over.

[Food. Food is good. Very, very good. For someone who can't cook and is used to a full staff, the idea of food is very appealing, always.]

I'm used to cooking for more people than I do here, so company's never unwanted.

[ Also if he's talking about family not being here, there's probably not anyone to eat with.

She can't help herself. ]

...Thanks. I don't really know how to cook, so I've been eating a lot of that commoners' "put it in the microwave" food. I think it's killing my taste buds. Or they're killing themselves to escape it.

[ "Commoners'"? Well then. ]

It's not too hard to learn, but it does take a little practice. We live in house number thirty; I can write out the times we normally eat...it's pretty routine, really.

[ Unless Hohenheim is late, but she can usually find him pretty quick these days. ]

[He's a spoiled brat, used to a staff.]

When he comes, can I bring Kaoru, too?

[Because he will come. He has to.]

Absolutely! The more the merrier, right?

[ Also she misses having kids around, even if this boy is...well, a teenager.

The problem with suddenly having an older son who lives with his girlfriend is that there is no one to actually cook for or look after.

Well, except for your absent-minded husband. ]

[The Hitachiin twins (or, at least, the one here at present) will happily submit to being fed.

...Though, he should bring something. A good guest -- especially one expecting a meal -- should.]

What's your favorite color?

[ Well, that's a bit at odds with the previous topic, but Trisha won't complain. ]

Lavender! And how about you, Hikaru?

[Lavender? Way too easy. He knows exactly what to do.]

I guess if I really have to pick... Pink. The bright, flamingo pink.

[Also the color of his wings.]

That's a pretty surprising choice! Have you always liked that color best?

My mom used to like to dress me in it.

The pink one was Hikaru and the blue one was Kaoru. ...Until we learned how to switch clothes. Then she just kind of gave up.

Letting your sons grow up is part of being a mother, after all.

Yeah. We like to give her a hard time -- she can't even tell us apart.

[Yes, she can, Hikaru. She just doesn't let you know it.]
