Hi everyone. I'm Hikaru.

And I’m Kaoru.

We just wanted to wish everyone who celebrates it here a happy Christmas.

And happy holidays to anyone who doesn’t.

[Hikaru reaches for the journal and, presumably, misses the mark so it doesn't turn off. It keeps broadcasting.

The small smile disappears, and he droops his head to rest his chin on Kaoru's shoulder. His voice is full of contrition and worry.]

I'm sorry, Kaoru. I still haven't really learned to cook. Without Mom here... I don't know what we're going to eat today.

((Kaoru sighs, raising a hand to Hikaru’s cheek and shaking his head.)) It’s alright, Hikaru. Even… even if we don’t have Mom or Dad or anyone… at least we’re here together. Though I am going to miss having a proper dinner.

I'm not entirely sure what this Christmas holiday is about, but happy holidays to you two too. You two wouldn't happen to be Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachin though, would you?

I don't see how us saying we miss our family -- you know, the people who raised us -- and miss having a proper meal -- which is kind of one of the biggest parts about today where we're from -- is conning anyone.

[Except it totally is.

But he sounds perfectly confused and almost offended at the notion.]

[Selphie was about to wish them a happy holiday but when she saw the sad looks on their faces, the girl changes her tune. Nobody should be sad like that and she's going to try and do something about it. Why do the two of them have to be so much like her?]

Hey hey hey! There's a really good restaurant called Seventh Heaven and they make super good food. Check it out and then you won't have to worry about not having a proper dinner.

We eat there a lot. Are restaurants here open on Christmas? I mean, I guess I can see that. Not like a lot of people have families... but it seems unfair to work on Christmas Day.

It's a holiday about giving to others. It's the only time of year when our family ever gets together, so... it's basically a very important holiday to us. And... we're missing out on having dinner together this year.

We've never really had a chance... thanks to our cook and all. And... I want to learn, but I don't think either of us can learn fast enough to make a dinner for Christmas. Y'know.
