This place is so stupid.

[As he talks to the journal, he's sketching.



This place is great for his creativity, he's realized... but that's because there's nothing else to do. He hasn't left his apartment in a few days except to steal food from the communal kitchen.

Being forcably dragged back into the mindset of having Kaoru and only Kaoru to rely on... didn't go away easily. He'd missed his brother before, but it's only gotten worse since then.]

The people in charge are idiots. Why would you only kidnap one? It still doesn't make any sense.

[He might not realize that he can be heard right now. He hasn't been exactly careful about where his hand's brushed in the journal.]

We're not supposed to be apart.

My mom's a world famous designer. I've been sewing since I was old enough to hold a needle.

That's so impressive! Did you poke yourself a lot learning how?

Only when I was really young. You learn pretty quickly when you do it a lot.

Wow, so amazing! It's a really cool skill.

It is. [No one ever accused him of being modest.] Makes a lot of money, too. When there's money.

Well I'm sure someone here would be willing to offer something acceptable in exchange for one of your pieces.

[Not saying she would. Her low self esteem has her convinced she doesn't have anything equal to trade.]

One's going to make me food, and the other person's either finding me a sewing machine or making me jewellery, I think.
